Daily Devotional- His footsteps were not known

Today’s reading is going to be Psalm 77:19-20.

Your way was in the sea,
Your path in the great waters,
And Your footsteps were not known.
You led Your people like a flock
By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

The way of the LORD

Here we see that the way of the LORD was in the sea. In the great mighty waters, God’s way was known to Him and Him alone. Even His footsteps were not known. Even though others knew not His steps, the Lord still led His people like a flock. God knows the way out of whatever it is that you are going through. Even if you feel as if you are surrounded on all sides, just as the Israelites did in the Red Sea, what looked to them as if they were surrounded on all sides was actually God’s mighty hand leading them exactly where they were meant to go. And that seemingly dead end was exactly where they were supposed to be in order to see their breakthrough. Do you believe? Do you believe that God will do the impossible for you? Part the sea and make a way through even the deepest of waters. You see, you may not know nor see where God’s footsteps are going or leading you. But you can trust Him and know that they are leading you even when His footsteps are unseen. You can trust that God knows the way. Don’t go by what you see. Go by what you know. God is going to be with you wherever you go. And even though things may look, seem, and even feel impossible, nothing is impossible for God. And even if it looks like the Red Sea, where there seems to be no way out, and you are surrounded on all sides, God knows exactly what He is doing. That ocean and those deep waters, they’re not meant to drown you. They’re meant to make you stronger and more able to face future currents. And when it’s the right time, God’s time, God will part those waters and lead you to the place that He was bringing you all along. When facing the uncertainty of deep waters, remember to recall God’s faithfulness. Don’t doubt and trust Him in all things and in all circumstances. He will never, and I mean never, fail you. You can trust Him. You can always trust Him.
